We can move a vehicle form any port to any other port usually with a full choice of car shipping methods including containerized , roll on-roll off, and conventional. Choose from a full range of optional extras, as required, including full insurance coverage.
We offer 40ft. or 20ft. container services to most major ports worldwide. This involves your cars being secured within a container with straps and wheel chocks to hold them in place.
On-deck car export method is used when carrying heavy trucks, tractors, boats and other special equipment which can not fit in a container.
40’ container is the most common used mode for shipping light, voluminous and over height automobiles overseas. Your car’s size is assessed carefully and consolidated into the 40’ container designed to carry 3-4 cars based on their size. Motorcycles can also be shipped in these containers. The shipping costs vary on the size of your car and the space taken by the car in the container.
Once the container is loaded you get a copy of the Title and copies of shipping documents including Dock Receipt which will indicate number of container your cars were loaded into and where it is sent.
We will provide you the data for access to the site of the marine lines which carry the container so you could track it’s movements.
As soon as the container reaches the destination (if it was used exclusively to ship only your cars) you and only you will be able to open the container because you will be the only one with the keys to open the exclusive container.
The first question that arises is how long time does it take for delivery? First of all it depends on the carrier’s company you choose. Time in transit from the US to most European Seaports varies from 25 to 35 days. In addition it takes about 2-10 days for delivery of purchased car from the auction to shipping / loading yard (depending on the distance) and approximately 10 days for preparing documentation for the export of cars from the U.S.. - total it may take approximately 45-60 days. If you would like your cars be delivered more quickly we would recommend shipping it by MAERSK - (but it is also the most expensive transport line). Slower transporter is ZIM- takes 40-60 days (but less expensive transport line).
When buying a car you like at an auction remember about delivery costs to the port. Just to give you an idea - if a car is located in New York and need to be delivered to closest sea port of shipment delivery cost would be around $100, if it is located in Las Vegas delivery cost would be $ 350 - 400. To save money on delivery it is advisable to transport cars from different ports - a car bought in California is better to ship from Los Angeles port, a car bought in the central part of the U.S. sometimes advantageous to send from Chicago. Also transportation cost depends on whether the vehicle is operable or not.
